Experiments in Career Discovery

FAQ

1. What if I answer less than 5 questions? How much do I have to write?
You get as much out of this experiment as you put into it. Part of the value of this experiment comes from you taking the time to reflect. Also, the more you're willing to share, the more we have to work with as we put together observations about your career. If you answer less than 5 questions, we won’t have enough information to provide observations, but feel free to discuss the questions with a friend.

2. Do I have to be looking for a new job or a career change?
This experiment is for anyone who is looking for insights about their career. You don't have to be looking for a new job or career.

3. What kinds of observations will you make?
Possible observations: things that seem to be important to you that you may not have realized were important, connecting the dots in your seemingly random career, asking even more questions for you to ponder.

4. How will you use this information?
All your answers will be kept confidential. If I write about learnings on the blog, all answers will be rephrased and anonymized to keep things confidential. For an example, see this post.

5. I'm looking for a career coach. Do you do career advising?
Yes, please email me for more details – a@ailiangan.com.
